My name is Karoline-Zaida Horstmann and I am of Tanzanian-German origin. Growing up in Germany, Kenya and Tanzania, I combine techniques from philological learning spaces of the global south and north in my work. Since 2012 I have been working with theater pedagogical and artistic techniques for various organizations, NGOs and educational institutions in the mediation of colonial contexts, intercultural trainings, empowerment and self-care seminars, facilitation, anti-discrimination sensitization, as well as artistic consulting and practical implementation in development policy projects. In the band Sauti é Haala I combine music and poetry / performances with postcolonial, anti-racist themes. For DPI I am responsible for the development, planning, implementation and monitoring of artistic-didactic theater pedagogical approaches, measures and projects. My clients include: Berlin Postkolonial, Amnesty International, Brebit, BKA, Deutsche Aidshilfe, Entwicklungspolitisches Netzwerk Sachsen e.V., Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik, Bielefeld University and the Humboldt University of Berlin.
